Under the media collaboration, a cooperation fund has been created where Pakistani and Afghan media houses interested in collaboration with their counterparts in the other country can nominate journalists for engaging in joint research with a counterpart in the other country. During the pilot phase, four journalist—two each from Afghanistan and Pakistan—have conducted joint research under the exchange programme.
The applications for exchange programme are reviewed and approved by a 14-member Advisory Board comprising well known media practitioners from Pakistan and Afghanistan. The selected journalists would partner with a journalist from the other country and both would conduct research on various aspects of the same story. The journalists selected by the Advisory Board for the collaboration would be facilitated in their travel, stay and research in the other country.
Journalists from both the electronic and the print media organisations working in the national or local/regional languages are encouraged to apply. Interpreters would be provided if necessary. Click to apply
